2016!

Well...the blog has taken the back burner here...bahhaa. It's been about two years here and ohhh life has changed!
Quick Update: We got pregnant with miracle baby off our first IUI infertility treatment, bought a house, had Greta in March 2015, left my teaching/coaching job, became a full-time mama, Quin is a full time Wealth Manager, traveled on a plane with Greta and we're just doing it! We're so grateful for all our blessings, and love that Heavenly Father knows and loves us. Not sure if anyone will even read this but I thought I'd give it a go! So excited for a new year in hopes to be smart, wise, strong and faithful! God knows and we just have to take a leap...into the sometimes Gray to find the light!

Mountains to Climb

Whoooaaa... it has been a whirlwind for us these past few months. Quin has been dealing with some serious health stuff, and he's doing really well. It has been quite the interesting experience with my mom dealing with some too and my cousin! 2013 wasn't the best year for our family, but we're looking forward in faith. There has been some cool new opportunities as my collegiate soccer coach just moved down here for a new head coaching job at UT- Dallas. So we're pretty excited about that. We're also excited for my mom to be visiting soon, and just to keep going with school and soccer season right now. Quin is back to work and working on his certification. We're looking for a possible house, and saving up our shekels! We're hoping for new changes this year... we'll keep ya posted!

Learn, Move on and Soar

These last 6 months have been an uphill battle for us. It's been a lot: moving, new job, (hard ones that are time consuming,) dealing with illness with multiple family members, wanting to have children. There's been a lot, but we have learned many things and that is to keep going. I remember on my mission Elder Pedersen who was our Visitors' Center Director said "Learn, Move on and Soar." I really like that, and have kind of adapted that to the motto of life and my life. We hope to be able to have a better foot forward and a better perspective. Even though, things aren't always what we wanted them to be or what our "plan" was, we know that God's Plan is infinitely different than ours. HE is in charge, not us.
Vball Season as a JV Coach- great girls!

Got hit in the face- HARD- had to get new glasses =(

SUMMER!

So just got back from Denver for Mrs. Katie O'Grady Lee's wedding, and it was a blast. As a result of done with travels for awhile... I'm starting what I call, the SUNRIDER CHALLENGE! Apparently, I'm not balanced, (body wise,) so this will help me get balanced. (You can look sunrider up, but it's basically an herbal way to live...they have lots of supplements to help you to be more healthy, in a sense). So I am doing the 4 step program, is what I'm calling it. I am taking these products daily: 2 Nu Plus a day, 2 Quinary a day, 1 Calli, and 1 Fortune Delight. Basically, all of these products cleanse and help you. I will let you know how it goes...This is for 2 months! WHOA!!!
3 More weeks until next travel spot!....

WE GOT HOME!

We loved Cinque Terre, and had an amazing day just lazzing at the beach. It was beautiful and fun. We needed that down time. Traveling home was a bit crazy, but we made it, after busses and a few train rides later, we got to our hotel in Zurich. Got to our flight bright an early the next day, and had the longest day ever with a lay over in NYC and finally got to TEXAS!  We were so grateful for an amazing trip!

Florence/Cinque Terre

ON our way to Florence/Firenze...unfortunately something has to go wrong in the trip, and that is Quin's health. He hasn't been feeling that great, probably because we've been doing way too much. He's feeling better today (sun,) but the last couple of days we both have been feeling run down, so take it easy days have been ordered. Yesterday, coming to Florence was nice and easy, and we spent the day walking around the old town and doing the renaissance walk. The old town is full of splendor and charm. sculptures line some of the piazzas. It's beautiful. We loved the duomo (church) and the pink, green and white marble. It's decorated so greatly and very Renaissancey. Thanks Emily Jorgenson for all your tips, I thought of you throughout the city.
We got really lucky, and saw the procession of all the neighborhood rugby/soccer/football, (it's all 3 of those sports together,) teams getting ready for their traditional annual match. It's really neat, they march up the street to the field with drums, trumpets, songs and shouts. It was neat. Quin and I thought it would be fun to go, but due to the fact we were feeling rough, we thought the traditional Uffizi museum of all the local Renaissance art would be better. It was so neat to see original art and compare it to others. The Madonnas' (or Mary's) were all so neat to think of each artist and how they wanted to compare the Virgin Mary. We enjoyed original Rafael work as well as DaVinci and some of our favorites of Venus's birth and Venus's Primavera.
We then knew it should be an early night...got food (take out pasta and pizza with fresh basil and pesto..can't go wrong,) and went to bed. Off to Cinque Terre!

Cinque Terre is marvelous. It's these 5 beautiful villages all stacked up on the side of the west coast of Italy. We are staying in Manarola, (the second village south of all the villages.) They are quaint, filled with cute people milling about, and beautiful turquoise waters. Our view from our hostel is so fun. On top of the hilltop overlooking the Liguara Sea. We are excited to relax after all the hectic city life. We're walking around here (noi esplorare,) and just grateful for God's creations and differences around the world. It's so neat! =)

Cats like to hang out randomly all over, and this one was really interested in this restaurant's kitchen with its live fishies!
